We Need A Security Guard, PLEASE!

1.     Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, gates.

2.     Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

3.     Monitor and authorize entrance and departures.

4.     Write reports of daily activities and irregularities

5.     Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

What you have just read above are some of the job requirements in regards to a security guard. The Lord tells us in Proverbs 4:23 “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” In a sense he is instructing US to BE a security guard for our heart. We must serve and protect on behalf of our heart. We are to be like number one through five from above. Please allow me to go into greater detail. Since technology has become so advanced there are so many platforms for people to plant things in your heart that shouldn't be there, but it is your job to detect by way of discernment what is wrong and what you shouldn’t be seeing or hearing. If you need to secure those doors, windows, and gates by unfollowing someone on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter just to name a  few; that is perfectly fine. You have to do what is best for you. Just because God gave someone a voice doesn’t mean that they are meant to speak into your LIFE!

If something someone said doesn’t sit well with the Holy Spirit within you, I beseech you to do your own research. Investigate their findings because after all you are considered a supporter to some degree of what they teach, speak, or support if you follow them. I encourage you to be very careful of the things you allow to enter into your thought process by the things you hear and see. (Ex. If you are celibate it wouldn’t be a good idea to follow someone that is always posting explicit things.) If it is something that goes against your morals and values, you should allow it to depart from your life without hesitation.

As a believer in Christ Jesus, I have learned to keep a journal and write in it daily or as led by the Holy Spirit. By keeping a journal, I can monitor my emotions, pinpoint where and why I felt a certain way, figure out what I have seen or heard that day, and focus on areas I need to make improvement. Last but not least, CALL ON THE LORD IN ALL CASES!!!!! Pray about everything you tell someone before you tell them. A lot of times WE want to get someones take on something we KNOW the Lord has told us and we go ahead and share the insight or vision the Lord has distinctly given us; they shoot it down with a shotgun now we are sitting there doubting the very thing the Lord himself told us to do because of someone else fears that have been spoken over our life. (If people are scared to do something themselves, they will tell you, you can’t do it.)

Don’t let anyone discourage you from what the Lord has called you to do. You can start the business, get the degree, own the home, write the book, meet your goal, preach and teach the word of God, but first you MUST turn your face back to Christ and let him fill you back up,  ignite your fire, and heal you in those places that you let the enemy creep into your heart. PUT YOUR GUARD UP AND GUARD YOUR HEART!!

I hope and pray this has been a blessing to your life and that this has encouraged you to truly guard your heart because it is very precious!!!!
